Xcel Energy Assistance
The Action Center provides Xcel Energy Assistance using Energy Outreach Colorado (EOC)'s Bill Pay Assistance Fund.
To qualify for assistance, your household must meet the following eligibility guidelines:
Your Xcel account must have a past due balance
Your service address must be located within Jefferson County
Your Xcel account cannot have received bill pay assistance through EOC since October 1, 2025
Your household must be at 80% of Area Median Income (AMI)
If your household meets these eligibility guidelines, please fill out a request form for Xcel Energy Assistance.
Each Wednesday morning at 10:00 AM, the Xcel Energy Assistance request form opens, and remains open until the maximum number of requests has been received for the week. Staff will review your request form for eligibility, and call you back the following Wednesday between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM to set up an Xcel Energy Assistance appointment. The maximum number of requests varies from week to week based on staffing capacity and funding availability. If our request form is closed for the week, please check back next Wednesday at 10:00 AM.
